Indigenous engagement.
As a proudly Australian owned business, our Indigenous Engagement Policy is integral to the way in which we operate. The policy focuses on three sections; collaboration, employment and legacy.
Collaboration - We work with our staff members who identify as Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander or Timor Leste first nation’s people to guide us in developing policy and workplace procedures that are culturally appropriate.
Employment - At RMS we encourage Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Timor Leste people to apply for positions with RMS. By working with agencies such as Indigenous Youth Mobility Pathways (IYMP), we can ensure more members of the Indigenous community are aware when we are recruiting.
Legacy - By asking ourselves with every project we undertake about the legacy we will leave for the communities we serve, and activating the collaboration and employment sections of our Indigenous Engagement Policy, we can ensure that the increased skills and experience our staff and sub-contractors gain whilst engaged with RMS can be used for future professional and personal opportunities.
