Project Mission Beach Revitalisation Project
Client Cassowary Coast Regional Council Value $16m AUD Expected Completion November 2025 Details RMS has been awarded by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council to spearhead the Mission Beach Revitalisation Project, which focuses on the redevelopment of the Mission Beach Town Centre. This initiative not only includes essential upgrades to the stormwater infrastructure but also aims to transform the central business district into an appealing and versatile public space. The project envisions a vibrant oasis for both the community and visitors, offering a variety of experiences such as dining, shopping, walking, playing, and relaxing while appreciating the artwork displayed along the route. |
Project Townsville Field Training Area
Client CPB Value $6.1m AUD Expected Completion April 2024 Details As Managing Contractors to the Australian Department of Defence, CPB have awarded RMS a civil works package to construct the Fanning Sector Entry at the Townsville Field Training Area west of Townsville. Works include the design and installation of a pump shed, washdown facility and entry roads. |
Project Lakes Creek Rd Piggy Back Cell D
Client Rockhampton Regional Council Value $6.1m AUD Expected Completion June 2024 Details The project is part of the Council’s long-term plan to ensure the development of a state-of-the-art waste management facility that will service the Rockhampton Region well into the future while minimising the overall environmental impact. RMS will be undertaking bulk earthworks and the installation of a geosynthetic membrane for passive gas control. |
Project Smith's Gap fauna crossing and overtaking lane
Client Department of Transport and Main Roads Value $26.7 million AUD Expected Completion October 2023 Details Located approximately 12km north of Tully, North Queensland, the Smith's Gap project includes a new southbound overtaking lane and specialised slope stability works on the Bruce Highway. The fauna crossing, a precast concrete arch bridge with cast insitu footings, links critical corridors of known cassowary habitats in the Smith's Gap World Heritage Area. |
