RMS has started civil works at the Port of Townsville as part of the Berth 4 Cargo Terminal project. Collaboratively contracting with Formset, RMS are completing the civil work package which includes excavation and removal of all asbestos materials from site, erosion and sediment control, drainage works, earthworks, and heavy pavements works of various types.
The $2.5 million civil works portion of the project is expected to be complete in November 2019. “It’s great to be working with a collaborative team,” said Glen Langfeldt, Operations Manager at RMS. “Working with the team at Formset is a great opportunity for local contractors to come together and deliver a comprehensive solution for the Port of Townsville,” he added. “Local companies using local labour is a fundamental economic driver for the region and we’re proud to deliver the civil works portion of the project,” Glen concluded.
